Our City Deal programme adds £1bn a year to the economy and £2.3bn of private investment with a potential £1bn worth of investment around the HS2 hub at Preston Train Station, so there’s lots to do. We’re the leader in terms of advanced manufacturing in the country and the 9th largest manufacturing area globally. It’s a key region linking both industry and innovation to a strong local heritage and an area of outstanding natural beauty. We’re now looking for two outstanding leaders to drive forward our growth and regeneration as well as our key transport and infrastructure that will improve the lives of people across our flourishing county.

Director of Growth, Environment & Planning                                 Preston

(Salary and benefits package c£100k plus lease car or cash equivalent)

Our new Director will help us to develop a strong corporate vision, strategy and robust operations to service a whole range of regional opportunities to promote, regenerate, enhance and sustain economic development and jobs growth across Lancashire. We are seeking a dynamic leader who has significant experience of leading all aspects of growth, environment and investment. You’ll be a member of the Directorate Management Team and as a consequence be contributing and influencing at the highest levels requiring a high level of strategic input and corporate working in a fast-paced setting.

Director of Highways and Transport                                                Preston

(Salary and benefits package c£100k plus lease car or cash equivalent)

We are looking for a passionate and energetic leader to deliver a range of ambitious and major projects across our economic development, highways and transport services. As a strategic link between Manchester and Liverpool City Regions we’ll require a collaborative approach to build our regional infrastructure including building out major development sites and ambitious new road building programmes.

It’s an exciting time for Lancashire and this new role requires an exceptional candidate who can manage a broad and varied portfolio. You will be responsible for delivering a range of high profile and ground-breaking programmes that will change the landscape of our county and improve the lives of millions of our residents and visitors.
